Rui Lin

Rui Lin is an audio engineer and music producer currently residing in Dallas. He graduated from Los Angeles Film School with a major in Audio Production. He completed his undergraduate degree with a 3.93 GPA and received the Global Commitment Scholarship. From 2021 to 2023, he studied Studio Recording at Musicians Institute (MI) and received Best Mixing Project awards for 2022 Mixing Essentials I and 2022 Mixing Essentials III.

In music production and audio engineering, Rui has consistently engaged in recording, mixing, mastering, and post-production, and has participated in multiple projects. Selected collaborations include mixing and mastering for Warner Music China artist Stringer on “The Night Without Sleep”; mixing and mastering for Jie Ke’s “Su San Says” (guest performance on The Rap of China); initial mixing and orchestra recording-related work for 88rising artist Wang OK on “Before Spring Ends,” and serving as the band audio coordinator for Wang OK’s team at the Head in the Clouds Music Festival (New York stop). He also contributed production support to Liu Lian’s “Mitosis,” provided production support and editing for Jude Chiu / Lala Hsu’s “Color Blind,” and multiple tracks on Jude Chiu’s Golden Melody Award–nominated album Jude, and worked on mastering and related production for releases by Stage 2023 contestant Li Tianze and others.

In teaching, Rui has many years of experience instructing vocals, guitar, and music production. He has guided and participated in recording, mixing, and producing student portfolios, helping students gain admissions and scholarships from multiple U.S. institutions, including Berklee College of Music, Columbia College Chicago (Dean’s Scholarship, $11,000 per year), Los Angeles College of Music (LACM), and Drexel University, among others.

In terms of professional skills, Rui is proficient in recording/mixing/mastering for both music and film/TV post-production, and is familiar with mainstream DAWs such as Pro Tools and Logic Pro. He holds certifications,s including Avid Certified Pro Tools Specialist and Dante Level 1. He also has hands-on experience operating a range of mixing consoles (including SSL Duality, API 1608, Rupert Neve Designs 5088, and Avid Euphonix S5 Fusion 24) and is proficient with post-production tools such as Celemony Melodyne, iZotope RX, and VocAlign.
